Bird's Nest Research

Identification of edible bird's nest with amino acid and monosaccharide analysis. EBN were revealed to be rich in protein and essential amino acids as well as contain a wider variety of monosaccharides than most food items.

Identification of two novel antioxidant peptides from edible bird's nest (Aerodramus fuciphagus) protein hydrolysates. "...EBN protein hydrolysates are a good source of natural antioxidants and could be applied as nutraceutical compounds."

Edible bird's nest attenuates procoagulation effects of high-fat diets in rats. EBN has been reported to improve dyslipidemia, which is closely linked to hypercoagulation states."...potential for lowering the risk of cardiovascular disease..."
